Something More
Fiction for young adults, 2018
In this book Siobhan dives deep into her own soul and provides a spiritual serenade to an increasingly superficial generation that seems to be bereft of the spiritual and religious knowledge of previous generations gone by. In her quest for inner happiness and peace, Siobhan dives in and out of several classical religious traditions, and includes her own anecdotes, which in turn conjures up a fabulous mix of guidance and spirt lifting stories that will give you that warm fuzzy feeling inside..

" Life can be tough - we can't get away from that. We will all at some time or other face challenges that feel like they will break our hearts and our minds and our bodies. We can all feel unhappy and out of sorts with the world, and wonder what it's all for. For those times, this candid and beautifully written book is the perfect friend and guide. I absolutely couldn't put it down. The descriptions of the different spiritual disciplines the author has tried out are clear and straightforward - very easy to read and absorb. But what really packs a punch are the personal stories of how Siobhan Curham has found strength and compassion and, most importantly, love, through all the difficulties she has encountered in her life."

" 'Something More' is Siobhan Curham 's autobiographical journey for a search for meaning. Her voice is warm, humorous and extremely honest. It is extensively researched, full of humanistic tales that show it's not straightforward or easy to find peace but well worth the effort. The message of the book is that there is no universal answer to finding meaning. In today's world we are so far removed from the desert religions but some of the core of their teachings is still relevant. There are sample exercises to give you a taster of all the different practices she has tried. Through reading Siobhan's journey it will inspire you to experiment and find your own path. The key is to go out there and find it.
